Maryam Nawaz (also spelled Mariam Nawaz) is the daughter of Pakistan’s popular leader Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz has joined the father’s party of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) also known as PML-N.

Daughter of Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz has finally entered politics to assist her father. She said it took her 3 years to convince family to enter Politics and help build Pakistan along with father Nawaz Sharif and party PMLN.
She made her political debut (in November 2011) by addressing a PML-N Women Wing Convention at the Al-Hamra Hall. Maryam said that she was indebted to the people of Lahore for the affection shown towards her and committed to serve them best. Maryam termed Nawaz as the one and only person to challenge the status quo in the country. She said that only the PML-N could protect the ideological and geographical boundaries of the country in a befitting manner.
